The LX Custom sets new standards in professional saxophones, taking the feel, sound and spirit of the famous Selmer Mark VI and re-imagining it to suit the requirements of modern saxophonists.

A single piece brazed body, bow and bell give better high note repsonse whilst providing more secure low note production. This design feature, combined with the Mark VI dimensions on the crook makes for a very free blowing saxophone, whilst the improved intonation from our precision tone hole design results in a superb playing experience to players at all levels.

Available in a choice of body materials:

Gold brass: Classic sound and feel

Bronze: More resonant and focused tone.

Silver: Darker/warmer tone colours.

The recipe for our Hanson LX is to strip a 1954 Selmer Mark VI, strip it down to every single component part, invest in world leading analytical technology to inspect every component, and then build our own version using 21s century engineering and techniques. The result is a legend reborn.
